Tutorials
I love tutorials, both video and text. They make learning tools and theory so much easier. But I’ve found some to be better than others, and I figured I’d share the ones that helped me, so they might help others as well. I tend to like tutorials that explain a feature and show how to implement it.
Narrative Pro — Narrative Tools

The best source I’ve found for learning Narrative Pro is the Narrative Tools YouTube channel. Their tutorials go through the plugin’s features in a very practical way, and new videos are added regularly.

GAS for Noobs — Ali Elzoheiry

In this series, Elzoheiry goes through Unreal’s Gameplay Ability System while building a wide variety of abilities and mechanics that rely on it. I’ve used it to extrapolate how to build my telepathy ability.

Scanning Effect — Ghislain Girardot

This three-part tutorial is great at showing the step-by-step process of creating a complex post-processing effect. I used it to learn how to create and integrate a similar effect for my telepathy ability. I know I will probably rewatch it as a refresher if I need to delve into post-processing again.

Environment for Noobs — Mohammad Solei

I found this excellent series after I got my first environment pack and thought, “Okay, now what?” Where do I start? Solei gave me a step-by-step workflow that was easy to follow while explaining every part of the process. I recommend it to anyone who has never built their own environment before.
